Celebrating Rare Disease Day 2021

This Sunday, February 28, is Rare Disease Day 2021.

The primary immunodeficiency community joins rare disease advocates around the world marking the Day.

People with primary immunodeficiencies are Many, Strong and Proud!

Millions live with a compromised immune system worldwide due to a genetic defect.

In the lead up to World PI Week 2021, which will embrace the topics of plasma availability, patient safety & protection (vaccination), and quality of life, Rare Disease Day is a key milestone for the primary immunodeficiency community to rally a strong movement putting the spotlight on the impact that rare diseases have and calling for greater understanding of the diseases, research, early diagnosis, improved and equitable access to care and treatment, ultimately leading to better health outcomes.

Together across borders and disease areas, it is an opportunity to raise awareness of what it means to be rare.

Please join us in celebrating Rare Disease Day 2021 and World PI Week 2021 this April to ensure that the voices of the millions of people living with primary immunodeficiency are heard.
